Well then, for those interested in where I'm staying for 6 weeks - here are some maps showing the remoteness and relative size (approximately 3km across) of the island.

From 21st June - 7th August 2010 I will be in Indonesia with 'Operation Wallacea' - a company specialising in biological and social science expeditions. My expedition involves research on Aspidontus taeniuatus; a type of fang blenny that mimics the behaviour and physiology of Labroides dimidiatus; a species of cleaner wrasse. Hopefully my data will go some way towards being included in the implementation of fishing management laws to protect this extremely biodiverse area.
